Hippocampus

The hippocampus is part of the limbic system and is often called the ‘memory centre’ of the brain. It is responsible for the formation of episodic memories (memories of experiences) and creates associations between our memories and our senses. The hippocampus also plays a role in spatial orientation.Queensland Brain Institute. (n.d.). The limbic system.
